Shi Kebin, a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in the United States and a professor at Peking University, is also a doctoral supervisor.
He serves as the vice president of the Yangtze River Delta Optoelectronics Science Research Institute of Peking University, the director of the High Resolution Microscopy Imaging Research Laboratory, a member of the organizing committee of the Asian Photonics Conference of the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), the co-chair of the "Ultrafast Imaging and Spectroscopy" conference, the deputy director of the Optics Physics Special Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, a member of the Holography and Optical Information Processing Special Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, and a member of the editorial board of the OPTICA Journal "Photonics Research".
In 2021, he received the First Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Chinese Instrumentation and Electronics Society. In 2013, he was an outstanding young researcher funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a chief scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, and has been leading projects such as the Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Integrated Projects of the Major Research Program. He has published over 100 papers in high-level academic journals such as Optica, Light S&A, Physical Review Letters, Laser & Photonics Reviews, PNAS and Optics Letters, with citations exceeding 3,000 and an h-index of 30.
